Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all users of Subtracker (“Service” or “App”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Purpose
These Terms govern the use of the subscription management service provided by the operator (“Operator”), including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Operator and the user.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- “Service” means the Subtracker mobile application and associated server services provided by the Operator.
- “User” means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service, whether registered or unregistered.
- “Member” means a user who has registered an account using an email address.
- “Free Plan” means the basic free tier (limited to 3 subscriptions).
- “Premium Plan” means the paid subscription tier purchased via in-app purchase.
- “Content” means all information entered or registered by the user in the Service (subscription data, memos, etc.).
3. Validity and Modification of Terms
- These Terms become effective for all users of the Service.
- The Operator may modify these Terms when necessary, with at least 7 days’ advance notice (30 days if changes are unfavorable to users) via in-app announcement or email.
- Users who do not agree to modified Terms may discontinue use and delete their account.
- Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
4. Account Registration
- Users may register as members by providing an email address and password.
- The Operator may refuse or revoke membership in the following cases:
- Use of stolen or false information
- User is under 14 years of age
- Intent to use the Service for fraudulent purposes
- Prior history of violating these Terms
- Members are responsible for safely managing their account credentials. The Operator is not liable for damages caused by credential leakage due to user negligence.
5. Service Provision
The Service includes:
- Subscription registration, management, and statistics
- Billing date notifications
- Budget management
- Calendar view
- Cumulative spending statistics (Premium)
- Gmail-based subscription auto-detection (Premium)
- Annual reports (Premium)
The Operator strives to provide stable service but does not guarantee 100% uptime of all features.
The Service may be suspended or interrupted in the following cases:
- System maintenance, upgrades, or operational needs
- Force majeure events (network outages, natural disasters, etc.)
- Outages of third-party services (Apple, Google, etc.)
6. Paid Service - Premium Plan
6.1 Payment Method
The Premium Plan is available exclusively through Apple App Store In-App Purchase (IAP). Payment is processed according to Apple’s terms and policies.
6.2 Free Trial
- New users are offered a 7-day free trial.
- Upon trial expiration, the subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- The free trial is offered once per user.
6.3 Auto-Renewal
- The Premium subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing cycle.
- To avoid renewal, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current period expires.
- Renewal charges are processed within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel auto-renewal in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
6.4 Refund Policy
- Refunds for in-app purchases are governed by Apple’s refund policy.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via Apple’s Report a Problem page.
- Once Apple processes a refund, the Operator will revoke premium privileges accordingly.
- The right of withdrawal under Korean consumer protection laws may be
limited if:
- The service has already been provided or used
- Withdrawal is impossible due to the nature of digital content
6.5 Price Changes
The Operator may change the Premium Plan price with at least 30 days’ advance notice via email or in-app announcement. Users who disagree with new pricing may cancel auto-renewal before it takes effect.
7. User Obligations
Users must NOT:
- Use other people’s information or register false information
- Infringe on the rights or defame the Operator or third parties
- Intentionally interfere with the operation of the Service
- Use Service-obtained information for commercial purposes without consent
- Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Service
- Use automated tools or bots to abnormally access the Service
- Otherwise violate laws or these Terms
Violations may result in service restriction or account termination without notice.
8. Content Rights
- Content entered by users (subscription data, memos, etc.) belongs to the respective user.
- The Operator processes user content only as necessary to provide the Service.
- Upon account deletion, all user content is immediately and permanently erased.
9. Termination of Service Use
By User: Users may terminate Service use at any time via account deletion (see Privacy Policy Section 7).
By Operator: The Operator may restrict Service use without prior notice if:
- The user violates these Terms
- Behavior threatens Service security or stability
- The Operator determines reasonable grounds for restriction
10. Limitation of Liability
The Operator is not liable for damages caused by:
- Force majeure (natural disasters, war, power outages, etc.)
- Communication failures, server failures, third-party service outages (Apple, Google, etc.)
- User negligence (account credential mismanagement, etc.)
- Damages resulting from information obtained through the Service
The Service does not directly process payment information. Payment is handled by Apple App Store. Payment-related issues must be addressed to Apple.
Statistics, notifications, and exchange rate information are for reference only. Final responsibility for actual subscription management lies with the user. The Operator is not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from this.
11. Service Termination
- The Operator may terminate the Service for legitimate reasons.
- The Operator will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice via in-app announcement or email.
- Active Premium subscriptions will not auto-renew after termination notice. Refunds for unused portions will be processed where possible.
12. Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Any disputes arising from Service use shall first be resolved through mutual negotiation.
- If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved at the competent court under the Korean Code of Civil Procedure.
